Shocktesting of Concrete Anchor Bolts for Shock Resistant Applications in Protective Structures

Metal anchors used as shock-safe fastenings for shelter equipment must be capable to transferring transient forces into cracked concrete without pulled out. To evaluate suitable anchor systems, Labor Spiez conducts shock tests with anchors set in wide cracks. The results of such tests with varying shock loads are presented. The analysis of the test results shows that anchor slip depends on the acting shock load.
